Aprendimos a quererte |
We learned to love you |
desde la histírica altura |
From historical heights |
donde el sol de tu bravura |
Were the sun of your courage |
le puso un cerco a la muerte. |
Put you close to death. |
Aqua se queda la clara, |
Here remains your clear, |
la entrañable transparencia, |
Heart-warming transparency |
de tu querida presencia |
Of your beloved presence |
Comandante Che Guevara. |
Comandante Che Guevara. |
Tu mano gloriosa y fuerte |
Your glorious and strong hand |
sobre la historia dispara |
Takes a shot at history |
cuando todo Santa Clara |
When whole of Santa Clara |
se despierta para verte. |
Awakens to see you. |
Aquí se queda la clara, |
Here remains..... |
Vienes quemando la brisa |
You come burning the breeze |
con soles de primavera |
With suns of spring |
para plantar la bandera |
To plant the flag |
con la luz de tu sonrisa. |
With the light of your smile. |
Aquí se queda la clara, |
Here remains..... |
Tu amor revolucionario |
Your revolutionary love |
te conduce a nueva empresa |
Leads you to a new enterprise |
donde esperan la firmeza |
Where waits the firmness |
de tu brazo libertario. |
Of your liberating arm. |
Seguiremos adelante |
We shall go on |
como junto a ti seguimos |
As together we follow you |
y con Fidel te decimos: |
And as Fidel we say: |
hasta siempre Comandante. |
Till forever comandante. |
